Career overview

Pieter-Antonio Fernandez was born in Edegem, Belgium, in 2001.

In 2024, he received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from KU Leuven, Belgium. The subject of his Master’s thesis was “80 GHz Voltage-Controlled-Oscillators Without Using Varactors for Enabling High Integration of Quantum Computers”. As part of his M.Sc. degree, he studied for one semester at Columbia University in the City of New York.

Currently, he is a research assistant at MICAS where he is working towards a PhD degree on mm-wave circuits in silicon for high-datarate applications, under the guidance of Prof. dr. ir. ing. Patrick Reynaert.
