The MICAS professors perform state-of-the-art research in the field of micro-electronics, and pass on this knowledge to their students in KU Leuven’s master program. Each MICAS professor teaches various micro-electronics courses in the master of Electrical Engineering at the faculty of Engineering Science of KU Leuven. In this master program you can learn about the advanced aspects of analog, RF, mm-wave and digital circuit design.
This Master program (Master EE - option Electronics and Chip Design) prepares you for the next generation of integrated circuits and systems. This program has a duration of 2 years, and consists of 96 credits of courses and projects, and 24 credits of a research master thesis.
The Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT) is the largest department within the university with top research groups in integrated circuit design (MICAS). It was the starting point of imec and many integrated circuits spin-off companies. With such an excellent reputation within an innovative industry, this program exemplifies the link between education, research and valorization.
