Career overview

Saeed Baghaee Ivriq is an electrical engineer affiliated with the Department of Electrical Engineering (ESAT) at KU Leuven. He began his academic career at the University of Tehran, where he worked on micro- and nano-electromechanical systems and devices until 2019. He then joined the Semiconductor Research Lab at Amirkabir University of Technology, focusing on the development of piezoelectric micromachined ultrasonic transducers (PMUTs).

From 2021 to 2025, he held teaching and research positions at Aarhus University, contributing to projects involving neural interface fabrication—both silicon-based and flexible electrodes—wireless power transfer for implantable devices, and analog front-end circuits for neural signal recording.

In September 2025, he joined the MICAS research group at KU Leuven as a doctoral researcher, where he is currently working on analog front-end design for neural signal acquisition.
