Career overview

Nejc was born in Šempeter pri Gorici, Slovenia, in 1999.

He obtained his bachelor's degree at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, University of Ljubljana, in 2023, on the topic “Modelling and Simulation of an Active CMOS Coupled Inductor.” After completing his bachelor’s degree, he worked for one year as an analog designer at Renishaw, where he was involved in the design of CMOS image sensors.

In 2025, he received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering, track Chip Design, from KU Leuven, Belgium. The subject of his master’s thesis was “mm-Wave SatCom Power Amplifier Design”, where he developed an efficiency-enhanced 28 GHz power amplifier.

He is currently a research assistant at MICAS, where he is working towards a Ph.D. degree on Advanced PA topologies for 6G communication under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Ir. Ing. Patrick Reynaert.
