Guilherme Paim received his bachelor's degree in electronics engineering (Hons.) being classified as ranked first from UFPel (Universidade Federal de Pelotas), Brazil, in 2015. He received his Ph.D. degree (summa cum laude) in Microelectronics from UFRGS (Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul), Brazil, in 2021. He developed part of his Ph.D. as a Visiting Researcher at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), in collaboration with the University of Stuttgart, Germany (19'-20'). He was a Postdoc with UFRGS, Brazil (21') and with the HPCAS group at the INESC-ID, Lisbon, Portugal (22').
He has been collaborating with several projects as EU H2020 CONVOLVE and ERC BINGO, CAPES/FCT ML-DSIV, and CAPES/PROBRAL ReACT. He serves as Review Editor of the Frontiers in Electronics and Frontiers in Imaging journals. He has about 90 research papers on Circuits & Systems. His research interests are automated AI SoC design, energy-quality scalability, and fast design space exploration, emerging technologies.
