The MICAS group is mourning today. Our founder and shining example, Willy Sansen passed away. Willy was a beacon in analog IC design research and education for the last 50 years. The impact of his research and career at KULeuven ESAT-MICAS is huge because it established a way of doing analog design in a digital world. His educational legacy, culminated in the book “Analog Design Essentials”, will be a reference for generations to come. But most of all he will live on in the MICAS Team. We promise to maintain the high standards Willy Sansen set for us and the whole analog design community in the decades to come. But, at this moment, our thoughts are with his family. We want to offer them our most sincere condolences.
