Research valorization, technology transfer, intellectual property, spin-offs,... You probably have heard about it before. But what is it exactly, why do we do it, and how do we do it at MICAS? David Maes, the Research Valorization Manager of MICAS, will tell you everything you want to know about it. He will be joined by Rudi Cuyvers, spin-off responsible at LRD, the central tech transfer office of the KU Leuven.
MICAS has a long standing tradition of research valorization. The results of our research find their way to real-life applications, solving real-world problems. There are multiple ways to reach that. This seminar will zoom in on the importance of research valorization and on the valorization approach of MICAS. Also the process to turn research results into a feasible spin-off business case will be discussed.
