Thin-film transistors (TFTs), once primarily associated with flat-panel displays, are now unlocking new possibilities in digital circuits, sensors, and wearable devices, thanks to their adaptability for flexible electronics. This dissertation focuses on advancing digital logic architectures and applications using customized design tools for flexible TFT technologies on plastic substrates.
By exploring and optimizing various TFT technologies and circuit designs, this work identifies the best strategies for creating high-performance, flexible digital circuits. The research highlights the practical potential of thin-film logic families, paving the way for innovations in flexible and wearable electronic devices.
