The next generation of molecular sequencing platforms are being developed with nanopore sensors. While biological nanopores have already been commercialized, solid-state nanopores and nanopore FETs can potentially achieve higher throughputs. In this work, the limitations in implementation of high-throughput sequencing platforms using solid-state nanopore arrays and nanopore FETs are explored from the perspective of the readout interface and their solutions are developed and validated through experiments.
